Internet Explorer bailout page

Posted by: Francesco In: Internet & Web 2.0

It appears that the EU has finally won its battle over Microsoft!

Later this year, Windows users (XP, Vista and 7), will receive an “important” update that will show a “bailout” page the first time they’ll launch Internet Explorer, if this is their default browser.

Trough this page users will be able to discover new browsers, that have at least 0,5% market share in the EU, and download them.

Nice move, although it’s only for EU customers.
