Hi! I’m Francesco Federico, one of the “crazy ones” Apple’s “Think Different” ad campaign refers to and passionate life lover!
Entrepreneur, digital project manager and blogger, I started playing around with computers since I was 7 and by the age of 16 I was already doing business on the internet.
In December 2007 I founded GingerCraft, a company focused on unconventional crossmedia marketing strategies and later on, in 2009, I joined Digital Natives, a digital marketing firm that works with small and mid-sized companies, helping them leveraging the power of social media and of the Internet to significantly grow their business.
I love Internet startups! While paying my bills with my consultancy job, in 2008 I funded with other partners and lead as CEO Shreppy, a personal shopper for consumer electronics goods. Later, in 2009, I joined as Head of Business Development Tripshake, a question&answer service that allows users to plan their trips with the help of a community of travel experts, travel agencies and fellow travelers.
At the moment I landed in Vodafone Italy, where I work as part of the e-care group in the Web Services area. My primary goal is to create a complete online self care experience for our customers, both trough “institutional” contents and crowdsourced information, thus allowing them to solve their problems on their own and discovering interesting services for them.
I’ve always been a passionate writer and technology enthusiast, therefore I love to spend some time sharing my insights and thoughts about the market I know on many popular Italian online and offline magazines.
Among my likes photography and travel stand at the top of the list, but I also enjoy movies, reading and wine tasting.
One of my favourites quotes is “Only the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do“, from Apple’s “Think Different” campaign. In this sentence a lot about me is summarized, as I don’t like to follow the mass and I usually reject what’s known as “status quo“. I like difficult choices and I strongly believe that life is too short to be lived by someone else, meaning that we always have to do what we think is right, no matter what other people may say. It’s wise to listen to other’s advice, but the final decision is ours. Always remember that the better you and your ideas are, the more courage is required for you to do the right choices.
